In April 2025, the International Photonics and Electronics Committee (IPEC) organized a “Future-Oriented Next-Generation 400G/Lane Optical Interconnect Workshop” at the OCP EMEA conference in Ireland, exploring the latest technological developments in AI optical interconnects. Following enthusiastic discussions at the Shenzhen Optical Expo and the ECOC optical communication exhibition in Denmark, the 448G/Lane standard and its technical direction have received increased research and attention from the photonics industry.
IPEC remains committed to advancing cutting-edge technologies in AI optical interconnects. Invited by OCP, IPEC will host a special forum at the OCP Global Summit 2025, which opens on October 13 in San Jose, USA, with the topic titled “The Boost for AI: Next-Gen Optical Interconnects.”
