Work Group Introduction

The Advanced Technology Work Group contributes to advancing and developing technologies in the optoelectronics industry, with a focus on various key technology areas related to physical and data link layer interfaces for optical networking and sensing applications of importance to IPEC members. The work group assembles architectural and functional requirements, and provides guidelines for optical networking products through white papers and research reports. This group also regularly holds workshops and seminars for academic and industrial research labs to discuss the latest development of advanced optoelectronics technologies and explore viable technologies for industry deployment in the next 5–10 years.
